A lot of people ask me how I became a coach. I got a lot of informal training by living (thanks Challenges and Obstacles! *eyes rolling*), but I got my certification through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). I could say a lot about IIN, list out all of their amazing teachers, blah blah blah, but I really don’t feel like doing that here (you can also easily google that info), and I’m guessing you’d rather me just get to the free class link (skip down below if you’re super keen and have no interest in hearing my story…I will not love you less and will actually not even know. I’ve even highlighted it in bright pink so you don’t even have to skim).
Right now, I’ll just briefly share why it was pivotal for my life personally, because it really was one of the best investments I’ve ever made (my Vitamix would be a close contender, but that was a gift anyway [thanks Dad and Sheila!]…you get the idea).
I actually had no intention of becoming a Health Coach when I enrolled. I did it because I knew I wanted to help people be happier and healthier and heard good things from friends about the program. One said, “You don’t have to become a Health Coach. At the very least, you’ll be so much happier by the end of it.” I didn’t really know what that meant but I liked the sound of it so I went for it.
So glad I did. By the time I finished the year-long education I already had three clients and–I realized suddenly–my own business! Whoops! That’s not really the reason why I recommend it to people, though. IIN helped me heal my own health, through body, mind, and soul. It had me realize I wasn’t living my dreams and–without me even realizing it–helped me to make gradual, easy changes until I was. By the end of the program, I was working part-time (rather than full-time) at my graphic design job, part-time as a Health Coach and Chef, and getting ready to pack up my New York apartment and leave the country. So, yes, I found myself happier by the end of it. Okay that’s all I’ll say for now. Told you I’d be brief!
And here you go!
To get more familiar with IIN and what this program has to offer, check out their free sample class here. It has real video lectures from the course to give you a taste of the curriculum. And if you want to enroll, I can help you get $1,000 off. Just send me a message.
If you have no interest in the education, that’s totally fine. You can still use this link to get the free classes!
